Privacy Policy
Last updated:July 2025
- We collect only what we need to run the waitlist, process partnership/investor inquiries, secure the site, and improve our services.
- We never ask for game account passwords. We rely on official/public APIs and the data you choose to share.
- You can unsubscribe from emails at any time and request access, correction, or deletion of your data.
- We do not “sell” or “share” personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA.
1) Who we are
This website and the waitlist for the Forgeon device are operated by Hero-Craft (“Hero-Craft”, “we”, “us”, “our”). If you have questions about this Policy or how your information is handled, contact us at hello@hero-craft.com.
2) Scope
This Policy explains how we process personal data when you browse our websites, join the waitlist, submit partnership or investor inquiries, receive product updates, or otherwise interact with us. It also summarizes your privacy rights. Our use of cookies and similar technologies is described in our Cookie Policy.
3) What we collect
Information you provide
- Waitlist data: name, email, country, your game interests (selected titles), optional notes.
- Partnership / Investor inquiries: name, email, country, company/organization, role/title, website or social links, message, and the selections you make in the inquiry form (e.g., partnership type or investor profile).
- Communications: content of messages you send us and related metadata (date/time, channel).
Information collected automatically
- Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, operating system, referring/exit pages, timestamps, and basic diagnostics for security and abuse prevention.
- Captcha/anti-abuse: when enabled, our provider (e.g., Cloudflare Turnstile) may process limited data to verify that a form is submitted by a human.
- Cookies / local storage: see our Cookie Policy. We may store your name/email locally on your device to prefill forms.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive categories of data. Please avoid including confidential or sensitive information in free-text fields.
4) Why we use your information
We process personal data for the purposes below. If you are in the EEA/UK, our legal bases under GDPR/UK-GDPR are indicated in parentheses.
- Waitlist management — registering your interest, sending double-opt-in confirmations, product updates, and early-access invitations (consent; legitimate interests to inform interested users).
- Partnership / investor relations — reviewing inquiries and responding (legitimate interests; steps prior to a contract).
- Security — protecting our services, rate limiting, detecting and preventing abuse (legitimate interests; legal obligation where applicable).
- Service improvement — metrics/quality checks to improve features and communication relevance (legitimate interests).
- Legal compliance — record keeping, enforcing terms, handling requests from authorities (legal obligation; legitimate interests).
5) Marketing and communications
Waitlist emails use a double opt-in flow. Every message includes an unsubscribe link. You can also contact us at hello@hero-craft.com to opt out.
6) Retention
- Waitlist: until you unsubscribe or for up to 24 months of inactivity, whichever occurs first.
- Partnership / investor inquiries: generally up to 36 months after the last relevant interaction unless a longer period is required by law or necessary for legitimate business purposes (e.g., contract discussions).
- Security logs: typically 30–90 days, unless needed to investigate an incident.
- Cookies/local storage: per our Cookie Policy or until you delete them.
7) How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited data with:
- Service providers (processors) such as hosting, email delivery, form processing, database, analytics, and captcha providers — strictly to operate our services under appropriate contractual safeguards.
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) under confidentiality.
- Legal / safety when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- Business transfers related to merger, acquisition, or asset sale — your data may be transferred as part of the transaction with notice where required.
- Aggregated / de-identified data that does not identify you may be used or shared for insights and product decisions.
8) International transfers
Our service providers may be located outside your country, including outside the EEA/UK. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as the EU/UK Standard Contractual Clauses and additional measures to protect your data.
9) Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls, and regular reviews. No system is perfectly secure, but we strive to safeguard your information.
